November 26th marked the 57th day of Occupy Los Angeles, which is the largest standing Occupy encampment in the nation. The occupation is located at Solidarity Park (formerly known as City Hall Park) in downtown Los Angeles.
On November 25th, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, standing beside LAPD Chief Charles Beck, announced that he is ordering the closure of Solidarity Park on Monday, November 28th at 12:01am. Occupiers are preparing to resist eviction.
