On April 26th, the CSU Monterey Bay chapter of NORML hosted the second annual Cannabis Legalization Rally at CSUMB. The rally featured live music, speeches, and organizing.
Wednesday, April 21st was the first day of the expanded Farmers’ Market in downtown Santa Cruz.

Free Radio Santa Cruz celebrated 15 years of unlicensed, community supported radio on March 27th at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center in downtown Santa Cruz.
The Santa Cruz City Council voted to support a recommendation from the city staff which bans the opening of an additional medical marijuana dispensary.
UCSC was shutdown throughout the day, with traffic prevented from going up to campus.
The rally began with music by La Sangre. High School students, parents, teachers and union members spoke at the rally.
